One-Day Camps Experienced students show up for a day to imagine, create and work on a project using either Scratch or JavaScript! Newcomers will be helped through custom-made lessons by our team of experienced instructors, using either of the aforementioned platforms. One thing is for sure, both groups will experience the gratification of bringing their ideas to life over the course of a short, but productive camp session!
Minecraft: Introduction to ScriptCraft Plugins Learn to customize minecraft servers by creating and adding your own minecraft plugins. Plugins will be coded using JavaScript. Students will receive their own minecraft servers for the camp that will stay active for two months after the camp is done so they can play with their plugins and show them to their friends.
Minecraft During camp, Campers can choose projects from our Minecraft curriculum, based upon their experience and interests. **Introduction to ScriptCraft (Intro):** Learn the basics of programming your own plugins for your own minecraft server. Use JavaScript to create custom Enchantments, Items, and Mobs. **JavaScript minigame (Intermediate):** Learn to create your own minigame plugin for Minecraft by creating and programming a Capture the Flag style game using JavaScript. **NEW Additional ScriptCraft Plugins (intermediate):** Learn higher level programming concepts with these new lessons and challenges. Learn to make plugins of your own design for your server using JavaScript.
Coding Fundamentals During camp, Campers can choose projects from our introductory curriculum, based upon their experience and interests. Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Levels: Develop your coding skills using Scratch, JavaScript and HTML. Great camp for anyone who wants to build their coding capabilities at all levels. Work on some fun camp projects like mazes and other games, animations, Web, applications and interactive stories to develop your skills with other campers.
Robotics During camp, Campers can choose projects from our robotics curriculum, based upon their experience and interests. **Remote Robots:** **Bead Challenge (Intro):** Design and build a robot which can be controlled via bluetooth and is programmed to collect and deposit beads from containers. Form a team with other students in the class and work together to compete in a bead collection game at the end of camp. **Ping-pong Launchers (Intermediate):** Design and build a robot to pick up and then launch a ping-pong ball as far as you can. Control your robot via bluetooth and battle with other robots in a ping-pong ball launching game. **Create your own remote controller (Advanced):** Build a responsive and smooth remote controller for one of your old or future robots. **Autonomous Robots:** **Maze solvers (Intro):** Create a robot which uses Infrared distance sensors to find it’s way through modular mazes and labyrinths. **Line followers (Intermediate):** Learn to use PID control systems to keep a robot steady as it follows a line. **Robo-Race (Advanced):** Use high speed motors to create a fast and smooth maze solver and line follower hybrid. Race against the other student’s and the instructor’s designs and learn to optimize your robot for speed and reliability. **Robot-Human Interaction:** LED Matrix Panels(Intro): Create a drawing machine using an LED art panel to make light-up designs and games. Create a drawing machine with knobs and joystick controls to draw shapes and designs. **Robo-Pets (Intro):** Create a cute robotic pet that follows you and makes sounds. Make use of fabrics and stuffing to make your robot look like a pet.
Unity Unity mobile games (Intro): Design and build a 3D game with Unity and learn to put it as well as your old projects onto your phone. Make use of your phone’s touchscreen and accelerometer to control your games. Virtual Reality Carnival Ride (Intermediate): Create a rollercoaster style ride and ride it in virtual reality using the Oculus Rift VR headset. Open World Exploration Game (Advanced): Learn to create your own Unity games by creating your own Open world exploration game. Students will design and create their own game, and will follow lessons designed to show them how to control the characters and camera, as well as how to import 3D models, animations, and sounds into their game. *NEW* 3D Modeling and Animation (Intermediate): Learn to use Blender to create and animate your own 3D models. Learn to import your models into Unity and build animation trees to bring your designs to life.
About Camps

Camps take students through 3-5 day guided courses with MVCode Clubs's qualified Instructors, giving them a headstart in the subject of their choice. Not to mention fun and games!
