Setting up an Account

Do I need an MV Code Club account to register?

Activities

Will my child be sitting at a computer for 6 hours?

Absolutely not. We strongly believe in developing healthy computer use habits in all of campers. Screen time will be punctuated w/ varies activities that get campers up and moving around. Lunch breaks will be taken outside at local parks where students will be encouraged to participate in active teambuilding/group games.


Scheduling

Wre you still offering OpenLab and scheduled classes?

Yes, MVCoder members will still be able to attend weekly classes and OpenLab. This is a great way for coders who are at other camps to still participate in coding on a regular basis when they are attending other camps or otherwise enjoying their summer.

Are there sign-up deadlines?

You can register for any camp with availability up until it's start date (monday at 9:00am).

How does the waitlist work?

If the camp you want to attend is full you can choose to be added to the waitlist. There is no fee to be added and no penalty if you decline once being notified of an opening. Waitlisted families will be notified via email up to the start date if a spot opens up.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel more than 60 days before your camp start date you will receive a full refund (minus a $35 processing fee).
If you cancel 30 - 60 days before your camp start date, you will be refunded your camp enrollment fee - $100 (This $100 can be used towards a monthly membership).
There are no refunds less than 30 days before your camp start date. (We will credit your enrollment fee towards monthly memberships).
There is a $35 processing fee to change camps less than 30 days before your camp start date.

We can't attend a full week. Is that ok?

You can attend a partial week, but it's not recommended. Our camps are jam-packed w/ activities and missing even a half day will cause your camper to fall behind on their project. We do not prorate for missed days.

Do you provide extended care?

We do offer early drop-off at 8am (camps run from 9am - 3pm). There is a $60 fee for early drop-off for the week. Please call or email us if you are planning on using this service.


Payment, Discounts, Scholarships

How do I pay?

You must pay with a debit or credit card through your MV Code Club user account. Don't have an account? Sign up through our website or call 415-569-2112 and we can help you setup an account/pay over the phone.

How does the Membership Discount work?

The Membership Discount saves you $100 off the camp price. To qualify for this discount you must be an active member when you register and maintain membership through the month of your camp. If you sign up for a camp, but cancel your membership anytime between registration and the month of your camp, you will be charged full price. Families are able to freeze their membership in the months after enrolling in a camp, but must be active during the month of the camp to receive the discount.

Do I receive a discount for signing up for multiple camps?

Members are eligible to receive the Membership Discount for every camp they sign up for. That's a potential savings of $900!

Do you provide Financial Aid?

Lunches

Do you provide lunches?

No. We strongly recommend campers to bring their own sack lunch. We will provide refrigeration.

An alternative option for our older students is to bring their own money and buy a lunch at the local market just down the street. Campers will be directly supervised by staff during the whole process. Your camper, not our counselors will be responsible for what is purchased.

If you don't think your child is capable/willing to purchase a balanced meal on their own, please send them with a lunch.


Safety

Who are your staff?

We pride ourselves on having staff that are highly trained in their respective fields and love working with kids! Unlike other camps, a majority of our counselors work for us full time. We strongly believe that quality counselors make a quality camp. We can't wait for you to meet them!

Are the counselors trained in First Aid & CPR?

A First Aiid & CPR counselor will be working with your students at all time. The EMS response times for both of our camps is excellent and all staff will be carrying phones and be trained in our Emergency Response Procedure (ERP).

My child has special needs, severe allergies, or specialized medications. Is there someone there who can care for them?

Our staff are highly trained w/ years of camping experience between them. We do our best to meet every request for accommodation at our camps. Please call us at 415-569-2112 to discuss this issue further.
